#284 – My Favorite Run
Gene Dykes broke the marathon world record for aged 70-plus runners in 2:54:23 in Jacksonville, Florida. He got 2:58:50 in the 2019 Boston marathon. In late 2017, he ran three 200 milers in a three-month period, and then a 50 miler and 100 miler early in 2018. He started 2019 the same way, with the Arches Ultra 50 Miler in Moab in late January, and then the 200-mile Delirious Western Endurance Scenic Trail race in Australia three weeks later. That one took him 101 hours to complete. Not bad for a guy who started running at 57 years old. In today’s show he talks about a few of his favorite races and what running has taught him
Kyle and Lil also share a few tips on how to strengthen your skeletal muscle and by so doing boost your immunity.
