Seventy-two-year-old Norman Calvo is a former successful New York mortgage executive, a certified high-performance coach, podcast host, marathon runner, cyclist, and cabaret performer. Twenty years ago, Norman weighed 247 pounds and had never considered himself a runner. At age 59, an employee challenged him to join her in training for the Brooklyn Half Marathon. What began as a simple fitness goal became a life-changing journey. Since then, Norman has lost more than 70 pounds, completed 12 half marathons and the New York City Marathon, cycled around the Big Island of Hawaii, and continues to seek out new adventures around the world.
Norman also discovered a passion for singing in his 60s. After taking voice lessons on a whim, he eventually joined the Gotham Rock Choir, became part of a cabaret group, and has performed in sold-out solo cabaret shows in Manhattan. Norman’s mission is to inspire others to stay active, embrace new challenges, and create a vibrant, meaningful third act filled with purpose, health, and joy.
